Easy Cooking Recipes: Easy Valentine's Day Dinner Ideas for the Cooking Challenged

Hey Monroe!, It's time to celebrate Valentine's Day with your special someone. Busy planning your romantic dinner for your honey, but you are not an expert at cooking? Not a problem, the meal does not have to be complicated or daunting task. For instance, you could prepare the most simple dish such as spaghetti and meatballs and serve it in a fancy dish by candle light. Here are some examples:

Easy and Elegant Recipes

Baked Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

4 boneless Chicken Breasts, washed thoroughly
1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
1/3 cup plain Bread Crumbs
1/3 cup Olive Oil
1 tsp. Black Pepper
2 tsps. Garlic, minced

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat conventional oven at 350F degrees.
In a sauce pan over low heat, add the garlic, pepper, and oil. Stir thoroughly. When the garlic is slightly softened, remove from heat and set aside.
In a large dish, add and mix the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese.
Dip the chicken breasts thoroughly in the garlic mixture. Next, roll the chicken breasts in the cheese and bread crumb mixture.
Put the chicken breasts in the oven and bake for 45 minutes-1 hour. Serve the Baked Garlic Chicken with rice, green garden salad, and white wine to make the meal complete.

Shrimp Fettuccine

Ingredients:

1/2 lb. Fettuccine, cooked
1/2 lb. medium Shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/3 cup Olive Oil
1 tsp. Garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. Basil Leaves
1 tsp. dry Oregano
1 medium Tomato, chopped
1 white Onion, chopped
1 tsp. Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions:

In a large skillet, add the shrimp and saute it in 1 Tbsp. of oil until pink color develops. Remove and set aside.
In another large skillet, add and saute all the vegetables and oil on low heat until the vegetables are soft.
Add the shrimp to the sauteed vegetable mixture.
Pour the shrimp and vegetable mixture over the cooked fettucine and stir lightly.
Add the pepper and stir again. Serve with your favorite kind of bread sticks and salad for a complete romantic meal.

Sirolin Steak with Mushrooms

Ingredients:

2 Sirloin Steaks, cut in half
1/2 stick Butter
1 small white Onion, chopped
1 Cup fresh Mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp. dry Oregano
1 tsp. Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat the conventional oven on broil for about 10 minutes.
Season both sides of the steaks with pepper.
In a medium sauce pan on medium-low heat, add and melt the butter.
In the pan, add the onion, mushrooms, and oregano. Stir and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
Put the steaks in a pan and put it in the oven on the rack that is the closest to the heat. Cook the steaks on each side for 4-5 minutes depending on thickness and size.
Put the steaks on a rack further away from the heat and cook the steaks until they reach the desired doneness.
Remove the steaks from the oven and pour the mushroom mixture over the steaks.
Serve the steaks with rice or baked potato, steamed broccoli, bread, and red wine for the special occasion.
